commission procedure

following the initial contact and consultation, a photographic sitting is arranged at the client's location. i review the photographs with the client and together we choose the best features, pose, colouring, etc. for the portrait. at this point an initial estimate will be given. if a composite of several photographs is used, a drawing will be done to give a clearer idea of how the portrait will look. when the final composition is agreed a full quotation will be given (including price and estimated completion time) and a deposit of 25% will be required.

when the portrait is completed, a photograph is sent to the client for review. if touch-ups are needed, they can be done before delivery.

all works remain the property of the artist until final payment is received

i am not VAT registered so there is no VAT payable.

copyright

carolyn bannister retains copyright of her paintings when they are sold, together with the right to reproduce them as prints.
